Homicide detectives say that robbery was the underlying motive for a Frankford man’s Tuesday night slaying outside of his home.

Officers from the 15th district rushed to the 1600 block of Margaret Street, just east of Frankford Avenue, at about 9:18 p.m. in response to reports of a person with a gun. They found Jose Reyes, 37, lying outside his home with a gunshot wound of the forehead above his right eye.
